10/23/2021 0 Comments The Battinson Functional Hypertrophy Workout - A Functional Mass Program for The Batman Physique
There were a lot of nonbelievers when Robert Pattinson was cast as the Caped Crusader in Matt Reeves' adaptation of Batman Year One. I, for one, was a believer. I did, however, have some concerns when it came to the physicality this role demanded. But after teaser upon teaser. And trailer upon trailer, most recently the trailer which announced the official date via DC Fandome, those concerns have been assuaged. Robert Pattinson has truly been able to transform himself into Battinson. Much the way that Affleck was able to bring a signature physicality to the Snyderverse Batman that earned the name Batfleck, as it was markedly reminiscent of the Arkham video game franchise. In this article I will breakdown what it takes to pull off a transformation worthy of a spot on the BatFamily roster.

10/1/2021 0 Comments Daredevil/Charlie Cox Workout Okay, so things are heating up over at Marvel. The MCU is in full effect with the Dr.Strange film dropping next month. Hot on the heels of their newest series - Luke Cage. And while I’m not sure if I’ll be doing a Dr.Strange workout (he’s just not that type of hero), I would be remiss not to give you a workout for the MCU show that broke the mold - Daredevil. As you all know I am a huge nerd. And I wanted to share this workout, not only for edutainment purposes, but in anticipation of the upcoming “The Defenders” series. The Flash is one of the most iconic superheroes of all time. Known for his speed and wit, he has been a member of the Justice League since it’s inception. His cunning and speed have made him a valued asset in some of the comic book world’s most crucial conflicts. And he’s evolved over the years. If you haven’t been keeping up with comics over the years, things have changed for the better. The Flash was already the fastest superhero in any company’s mythos - both canon and non-canon. But his use of the speed force has only improved. His travels through time and space have become more common and pivotal. And he has extrapolated from the speed force more power than any other user. Next year we get to see much of this come to life through the origin story of the JLA. One of my favorite actors, Ezra Miller, will be tapping into the speedforce to bring the comic world to the silver screen. To do so, he had to get in superhero shape before he could take up the mantle of the Flash. We haven’t gotten any official workouts for Miller or Ray Fisher (Cyborg), so once again I’ll have to improvise. This workout will be a simple full body split for hypertrophy. The catch - it’s a circuit, to get you in and out of the gym (or wherever you workout) in a Flash (don’t judge me). I’m also including a sample sprint interval that alternates sprints with burpees. |
