I’m kind of more proud to present this training template than a few of the others. Not because of the effort I’ve put into it or the training methods used, but because this is about a hometown hero of mine - Dave Bautista. Another wrestler turned actor from the glory days of the WWE, Bautista’s always been insanely yoked and jacked. In this training template we’ll take a look at his physique and training methods over the years. As well as what it took to prepare for the (slightly) coveted role of Drax The Destroyer.

Otto Arco was one of the foremost figures in oldschool Physical Culture. Along with Eugen Sandow, Bobby Pandour, and George Hackenschmidt I would say that he was one of the most famous and crucial characters in oldschool Physical Culture as well as one of the most innovative. He’s somewhere in my Top 3 figures in the history of Physical Culture and maybe in all of fitness. He pioneered the concept and practice of muscle control, which undoubtedly led to our use and mindfulness of the mind-muscle connection. Today, we’re going to delve into the life and history of this amazing man.
Next up in the Endgame Training Series, we’re taking a closer look at one of the most polarizing figures in the MCU. Whether you think he should’ve stuck with the plan or not, there’s no denying that Star Lord is a powerful and charismatic leader. And that that’s due in large part to the man playing him - Chris Pratt. Chris Pratt had always been in shape even before donning the mask and coat to play Peter Quill. But it was during the prep for this role that he got absolutely jacked and managed to leverage the literal awesomeness of his transformation into major sex appeal to become one of Hollywood’s premiere leading men. In this article, we’ll examine this transformation through the lens of physical culture as we always do. And I’ll leave you with a program template to achieve similar results.
Aquaman is hands down one of the most underrated superheroes of all time. People assume he’s just some aquatic Dr.Dolittle. But little do they know, he’s overpowered as hell. Move the f*ck over Poseidon, Arthur Curry is the new king of the seven seas. Aquaman is one of DC Comic’s oldest and most classic superheroes. He has extraordinary powers – able to lift entire city blocks. Even though he’s king of the ocean and sea, he can basically fly. He was one of the first superheroes to “leap tall buildings in a single bound”. He can swim at Mach 20 and Mach 5 speeds. If you can’t tell already, Aquaman is one of my favorite superheroes at DC. Next year the King of Atlantis will come to life in the Justice League movie. Portraying him will be Jason Momoa, the 6’4 Hawaian/Native American giant that is no stranger to playing powerful rulers and warriors. Playing Conan the Barbarian in the 2011 reboot, as well as Khal Drogo in the critically acclaimed Game of Thrones. This is a refreshing break from the roles he’s sometimes typecast in. Because Arthur Curry is a complex character in the comics
Michael B Jordan has consistently been one of my favorite actors. As a preteen Marylander I still had to sneak past my parents to watch “The Wire”, but his portrayal of his character resonated with me, and I was quick to watch anything he would go on to star in. As a fan of “Akira” I couldn’t wait to see the loose adaptation “Chronicle”. And while the movie doesn’t hold up to the high school hype, it didn’t help to launch Michael B Jordan into the action and sci fi genres. And ever since starring in Creed, Jordan is known for his impressive and natural physique. In this article, we’ll analyze what we’ve seen of his training, reverse engineer his physique, and create a template that can be used at home or in the gym to receive similar results.
